Spicy bean and mushroom quesadillas

This recipe is great for lunch or dinner and tastes really good!
I named it spicy but it really isn't very spicy but if you would like it to be more spicy you could add a red chilli or extra spices.

Ingredients - for 1 person (easily doubled)
Wraps ( I used mediterranean herb wraps for extra flavour) - 1
Baked beans - 1/2 can
Ground cumin- 1/2 teaspoon (taste the sauce and add this to your own liking)
Baby button mushrooms sliced in halfs - 1/2 handful (basically as many as you want)
Cheese - you can use any cheese, I used cheddar (mozzarella, feta would go well with it)
Milk- tablespoon

Recipe
1) Put the beans into a pan and heat them up.
2) Add the cumin and then put the beans on a low heat to keep warm.
3) Put a knob of butter into the griddle pan and add the mushrooms.
4) Pour over about a tablespoon of milk and move the mushrooms around so that they don't burn.
5) Place the mushrooms onto the wrap then place this into the pan.
6) Pour over the beans then sprinkle over some cheese and fold the wrap over.
7) Leave the wrap in the pan until warm and slightly crisp.
8) Serve up in wedges and enjoy!

Birchbox November

I got the November Birchbox and firstly the boxes are beautiful, secondly i'm obsessed.
I ordered it because my sister sent me a promo code which made it free and all I had to pay for was delivery, I have subscribed though which means that if I don't cancel then it will be £10 a month. I really liked the box as it is a great way to try new products and find new brands. I think if you have a collection of makeup products that you use most days then this gives you a chance to spice things up.
There are two boxes, which are both collaborations: Birchbox at Selfridges and Birchbox x Skinnydip.
Here is a look inside....

Favourites from the box: Wild About Beauty lipstick, Eyeko eye pencil.

Favourites from the box: Pop eyeshadow, Fratboy blush

New York

So.. I went to New York for my summer holidays and it was amazing!
New York is so beautiful and if you ever get the opportunity to go there,  grab it and go!

I decided to do a post as I liked the outfits I wore and wanted to share but i took the pictures on my phone so they aren't very good quality (sorry about that) and I also have some pictures of the trip in general which have creeped in..
Enjoy!

What's in my bag + blog update

So before I show you the contents of my bag I'm just going to tell you what changes I am making to my blog.Firstly I'm going to post more often and maybe in the future have specific posting days, so comment any suggestions you may have about that. I also recently changed my blog description to include food as baking is a hobby of mine and I really want to post more about it so I plan to do more posts about baking.
Now here is my bag....
Happy reading!

My bag is from Zara and I've never had a backpack before but I actually love it as my arm never aches after hours of shopping even if it is a little annoying when you want to grab your purse in a hurry there's is a silver lining to every beautiful thing!

My purse is from river island and I don't love it as much as when I first bought it and I'm looking for a new purse but it has lasted ages and there is no damage except from a few scratches and if I don't want to take a bag it fits perfectly in my coat pocket.

My random bag essentials include: hair bobbles, bobby pins, chewing gum or mints, pen, earphones, perfume, and sunglasses.
My sunglasses are from French Connection.

 thank you for reading x

Revision Tips

Since for a lot of people its exams now or soon, I thought I would share some tips on revision.
Some may work for you, some may not, revision is about finding out what works for you.
Happy reading!

1. Make a timetable
You can make one on the internet or just draw it out yourself

Be realistic though, you know how much you can achieve in a day so only set yourself that                 amount.

2. Ways to revise
Post-it notes/Revision cards: Write a question on the front and answer on the back.
Write notes or definitions of keywords and stick them wherever you like.

Mind maps: Put the subject in the middle and put key points around the edge.

Highlight: highlight your revision guide or anything which is big and bulky, so you just get the             key points.

Draw: If you are creative and learn better through pictures, then draw the points instead of writing       it. For example: draw the eye instead of writing about it, (you may need to do some                             annotations).

Speak: Say it and record it and listen to it with earphones on the way to school or just blast it out         in your bedroom, you could get somebody else to record it for you if you like as it can be a little         weird to listen to your own voice.

3. Once you have worked out what works best for you, just do it!

4. Revision on the go!
There are some great apps that are you can use whenever you have a spare moment.
I have a section on my phone called education, these are my favorites: Quizlet, GCSE Science test and learn (If you are doing GCSE core science then this is really helpful), gojimo, (there are also lots of subject specific apps which you can find if you just search the subject into the app store).

5. Take breaks
(You can't work non-stop so give yourself breaks)

6. Do it for future you!
Think about the fact that when they are over you can just relax (for me I can't wait for the summer holidays, when I will have 6 weeks of relaxation)
This is my time-table that I just used to prepare me for the mocks and I was doing it for future me in London!

Desk Tour

This is my desk.
Haven't posted in ages as it has just been revision, revision and more revision lately.
Might do a revision tips post to help any others of you that are having exams.
Happy Reading!

This is the corner area of my desk. Most of my beauty products, sunglasses, and of course a jar of Daims.

These are my favorite beauty products, which i use most days. The box is an old shoe-box covered in patterned tissue paper.
My perfumes, if you would like to know more check out my scent collection!
In the beauty bon bons tin are my nail polishes and you can see the edge of my hair dryer.

Another decorated shoe-box and some bits and bobs too!

I love my painted mason jars, I bought them from Etsy and the person i bought them from was so helpful so if you would like some then here is a link. My pen pot is from IKEA.

This is  my make-up which I use everyday.

The holders are old candles from IKEA.
